Buyer Instructions
The 2020 Fryeburg Fair 4-H auction will be an online auction. Bidding will be available online via computer, tablet, smart phone or other handheld device beginning on Friday, October 2nd at 9AM. All buyers must register as new buyers, even if you have been a buyer in past years.
Auction Dates: Bidding will begin on Friday, October 2nd at 9AM and run thru Sunday, October 4th at 6PM. Winning Bidder information can be found by Clicking Here.

Registering as a Buyer
- Buyers can register by following the instructions below.
- CLICK HERE to Register, you will now be at our virtual auction website. Select “Log In” at the
top right of the page. Then click on the “New Buyer? Register Here” link and
complete the form. If a business is the actual buyer, please enter the business
name as the Buyer Name & the person doing the bidding as the Contact Name.
If an individual is the buyer enter the person’s name in the Buyer Name field.
- A
text message will be sent to you with a unique 4-digit code. Enter that code to
gain access into the auction site. This password/code is your bidding password
for the auction and will be used throughout the auction. If you do not use text
messaging or need assistance retrieving your code, please contact Steve
Graustein using the information above.

Buyer's Registered before 9/29 or do not know your security code
- A unique 4 digit security code is needed to login to the auction website. You would not have received this code during early buyer registration. Follow the instructions below to obtain your security code.
- CLICK HERE to access the Virtual Auction website.
- Select “Log In” in the upper right hand corner of the page.
- Choose your name from the “Select Buyer” drop down list.
- Click the "Request Security Code" Button below the security code field. Your unique 4 digit code will be texted to you. This may take up to 5 minutes.
- If you do not receive your security code or need assistance please contact Steve Graustein using the information above.
How to Bid
- CLICK HERE to access the Virtual Auction website.
- Select “Log In” in the upper right hand corner of the page.
- Choose your name from the “Select Buyer” drop down list.
- Enter the 4 digit code you received when you registered in the “Enter Security Code” field. If you do not have your code please select the “Request Security Code” button or contact Steve Graustein for assistance. Make sure to check the terms and conditions box.
- All bids are made by the head NOT by the pound. You will need to calculate the price per pound based on the published weight of the animal. Example: animal weight is 300 pounds you want to bid $2.00 per pound. Your bid would be $600.00.
- Upon placing a first bid for a specific lot, you will be prompted to select a destination for the animal. Please choose TBD from the list.
- There is no minimum bid or bid increment. You can setup a maximum bid. There by letting the system automatically place bids for you, up to this amount, as others place bids.
- Split Bidding is available. Make sure to check the split bid checkbox when placing your bid. Bidding should be done under only 1 name.
- If you are out bid you will receive a text letting you know you have been out bid. The text will also provide a link directly to the particular lot for you to bid again. If you do not use text messaging you will need to check the auction site periodically to see how you are doing.
